Prepare the Fire TV

  • Connect the Firestick or Fire TV to stable Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
  • Install Downloader from the Amazon Appstore.
  • In Fire TV developer settings, allow installation for Downloader when prompted.
  • Check that the device has enough free storage for the player and library cache.

Download the official player

  • Open Downloader and enter code 2001156.
  • Confirm the destination is the official xtreme-hd.com Fire TV / 32-bit download.
  • Install the APK and delete the installer file afterwards to recover storage.
  • Remove Downloader's installation permission when setup is complete.

Connect the Firestick securely

  • Launch Xtreme HD Player and note its MAC address and device key.
  • On a phone or computer, open the Xtreme HD Player Portal.
  • Enter the device values and authorised playlist.
  • Return to Fire TV and select Retrieve playlist.
  • Wait for the first library sync before testing categories.

Make the player easy to find

  • Open the Fire TV Apps list.
  • Highlight Xtreme HD Player and open the options menu.
  • Choose Move to front or add it to the main apps row.
  • Confirm Back, OK, directional controls and full-screen overlay hiding work with the remote.

When the provider URL changes
